Great Debate was about condoning immorality

Wasn’t our Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak so comfy on stage with the immoral MCA president Dr Chua Soi Lek when officially opening the forum which featured the worthless Lim-Chua Debate?

The debate achieved nothing, other than to confirm the rowdy and gangster-like MCA audience. Surprisingly, the DAP supporters present at the debate were restrained and well-behaved.

Since I find the debate worthless, I am turning my attention to Najib’s presence. Why?

Is he a true Muslim? If so, why is he so supportive of Chua, who committed zina ? Does Najib not know the Quran, Islamic Law and Hudud?

I must state here that I am not a Muslim and I know very little of the Quran and the religion. I am just observing and using common sense.

Committing zina means committing adultery. And, this much I know - that committing adultery is forbidden in Islam.

All I can conclude is that there are bad Muslims and good Muslims. Likewise, there are also bad Christians and Buddhists, and good Christians and Buddhists, who should be guided by their faith.

So, will I also be wrong to say that there are Umno Malays, PKR Malays, PAS Malays and DAP Malays? They all have different political ideals, and possibly different levels of understanding and practice of their religion.

So, Chua’s bootlickers and cronies will argue that their immoral leader is not a Muslim, so zina cannot be applied? What about Section 377 of Malaysia’s Penal Code on committing unnatural sex? Is Section 377 still valid or just preserved as a tool for those in power (read Barisan Nasional) to use against political rivals?

If former deputy prime minister and current opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim can be charged, why not Chua?

Yes, Chua admitted to his illicit sexual behaviour in 2008. Does that mean that anyone who admits to committing a crime covered by the Penal Code can be forgiven and need not be charged?

That was in 2008. We are now in the year 2012. There is ample evidence to charge but why are the police and Attorney-General’s Chambers not acting? Have the police closed the case with its standard NFA (No Further Action)? Is it that difficult to charge Chua?

Why is the Barisan Nasional (BN) government, led by an Umno Malay, condoning zina and unashamedly associating with an immoral man in public? Just unbelievable!

Likewise, the infamous Cowgate scandal also clearly displays BN-Umno’s high tolerance of alleged corruption by their own kind. If it involved a non-BN politician, no matter how small the amount, you will be picked up for interrogation and possibly end up dead - like DAP’s Teoh Beng Hock and Selangor Customs assistant director Ahmad Sarbaini Mohamed who possibly knew too much about the dirt in Customs and was ready to spill the beans on the higher-ups.

And what about all the women MCA members who support Chua? Do they consent to their husbands engaging in extramarital affairs? If not, why are they still in MCA supporting an adulterer president?

It has suddenly dawned on me that Malaysia is in serious trouble - socially, economically and politically - because the majority of Malaysians seem to condone immorality by continuously re-electing the same type of immoral politicians to lead them.
