We tighten belts, ministers splurge like no tomorrow

Yes, the cost of the prime minister's trip to Perth should not be borne by taxpayers.

But what about the cost of the other trips by the PM and other civil servants? What about the expenses of other ministers and those so called 'official trips' abroad paid by taxpayers?

Taxpayers are asked to tighten their belt but the government spends big on travel and other unnecessary things.

Why the need for Najib to go to Perth to talk to students? Has he got nothing better to do? What is the real reason? Maybe Pak Lah can give a clue.

The country is going broke but the government is the biggest spender. If Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng can travel cheaply why can' t federal government ministers?

Worse than the money is the dishonesty in the propaganda - the Perth students were not inspired by the PM's speech but someone turned it into another desparate lie.

Army men registered as female voters and vice versa is the latest electoral roll scandal; what is happening? Someone is out there doing all the cheating and we must question what is happening.

You have to question if Malaysia is a democracy or demon-cracy, so-called by the BN as an Islamic state but yet there is so much cheating. An Islamic state or a demonic state?

MCA is afraid to admit that it is a discarded political mistress of Umno and like a jilted woman still tries to keep up appearances. Political parties that are impotent should at least have the guts to stand up for what it believes is right.

MCA is a lost cause, like the MIC. Why? They no longer are useful to Malaysians; and Umno is also useless to the Malays except those who want government contracts.

Malaysians are suffering because past generations had not dared to ask questions. Now they are paying big, and I pity the next generation of Malaysians, mostly Malays.

Ask what is happening to the EPF, why the AP's are not given to the Malaysian Fund but to cronies, and ask why all the money is siphoned off to cronies who then take the money out of the country. For example, what has happened to all the Petronas money? What has happened to all the taxpayers’ money disbursed to government bodies and GLC's?

Why has privatisation has only gone to a few people? Why do so many Malay business cronies have businesses outside Malaysia? It’s time people started asking.
